Body Care Scanning provide a high quality, affordable diagnostic medical ultrasound scanning service, which can be accessed either directly via self-referral or your General Practitioner. This may because you wish reassurance/screening, have health concerns or may simply wish to avoid NHS waiting times.
Our aim is to provide you with a service to increase your knowledge and information about your body, enabling you to further care for your health, and to seek medical assistance if your scan results indicate this is required. Please do call to discuss any questions or concerns that you may have.
All Body Care Scans are performed by an experienced State-Registered Clinical Specialist in Ultrasound with almost 30 years NHS and private experience and is a Member of the British Medical Ultrasound Society.

Pelvic Ultrasound Examination
Assessment of the Uterus (womb), Endometrium (lining of the womb), Ovaries and Adnexae or Pelvic area.

2D Enhanced Gender Reveal Scan – Son or Daughter? 15 weeks to Term.
This is an Enhanced Gender Reveal Scan, with well-being check confirming baby’s heartbeat and movements. In addition to our careful and thorough Gender Reveal Technique Series, you will also be given a “Tour” around baby as we perform your scan, to reveal more than just the Gender of your baby.
There is a lot to see, including visualisation of baby’s activity within the womb, and we will explain everything as your scan takes place, to make this a truly wonderful bonding experience, at your very first introduction to your “revealed” Son or Daughter!
Multiple Images (usually around 15 – 25 x 2D images) will be provided including images of Baby’s Profile where possible, limbs etc., and of course Gender proof images, and a Report Sheet.
Your appointment will last up to 25 – 30 minutes and cost £70.
Add-ons:
- USB stick containing all images printed, plus additional images if requested prior to commencement of your scan, can be purchased for an additional £10, enabling you to print, email or upload your own 2D images.
- A “Personalised to each Family” DVD Recording on Disc £20.
4D Scan Packages.
4D Gender Scan. 24 – 33 weeks.
Designed to Reveal Baby’s Gender in 2D with well-being check for baby’s heartbeat and movements, and provide the opportunity for 4D viewing of baby, with multiple “take-home” 3D images in Black and White (3D). A Report sheet is also provided.
If you would also like a copy of the 3D images in Gold, then a USB containing all the images can be purchased for an additional £10 enabling you to view these at home, print, email or upload, at your leisure.
Your Appointment will last up to 30 minutes, and will cost £75.

- A USB stick containing all the “gold” versions of images obtained can be purchased for an additional £10, enabling you to print, email and upload your own coloured images.
- A “Personalised to each Family” DVD Recording on Disc £20.
4D Reassurance Scan. 24 – 32 weeks.
Designed to give you peace of mind by confirming Baby’s heartbeat and movements, with the addition of 4D viewing of baby.
2D and 3D Black and White Images (3D) are provided for you to take home. Gender Reveal and Measurements are not provided with this package.
Your appointment will last up to 30 minutes and costs £70.

4D Reassurance and Bonding Scan. 24 – 32 weeks.
Designed to give you special time for Bonding and Admiring Baby. A well-being check of Baby’s heartbeat and movements, with the addition of 4D viewing of Baby, and the option to discover Baby’s Gender if required. However, if you wish Baby’s Gender to remain a secret until birth, please simply make your request known and we will be delighted to oblige.
You will also receive Several 3D Black and White Images (3D), and 3 Mounted Colour 3D Images.
Your Appointment will last up to 40 minutes and will cost £85. Please ask for 4D Package C when booking.

4D Growth and Bonding Scan. 24 – 32 weeks.
Designed to assess Baby’s growth, provide 4D viewing of Baby, and give you special time for Bonding and Admiring Baby. A well-being check confirming Baby’s heartbeat and movements, along with measurements of Baby’s growth, assessment of the surrounding Amniotic Fluid, blood flow through the umbilical cord if clinically indicated, plus other checks as explained during your scan.
You have the option to discover baby’s Gender if desired.
You will also receive Several 3D Black and White Images (3D), and 3 Mounted Colour 3D Images.
Your Appointment will last up to 40 minutes and will cost £95. Please ask for 4D Package D when booking.

Who is the examination for?
The examination is provided for women of all ages (minimum 18 years of age). A written report is provided, usually on the day of examination. (Please call us if you require a GP referral form.)
When do I receive my results?
Your results are available immediately and will be explained to you at the end of your scan. In addition, a written report will be provided which can also be forwarded on to your General Practitioner if you require.
