Gender Determination Scan Disclaimer (where applicable)
The Baby Scan Company Statement:
Nationally, the UK accuracy of gender identification, including NHS hospitals, stands at 95%, meaning 1 in 20 gender identification scans will be inaccurate. As a result of personal audit however, gender determination by The Baby Scan Company surpasses the best expectations, however cannot ever be guaranteed 100%.
The Baby Scan Company therefore accept no liability in the event of incorrect gender identification, or the consequences of any actions taken upon the basis of the information provided at or during the Gender Identification Ultrasound Scan.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
The Baby Scan Company Scans ARE NOT DESIGNED to replace your routine diagnostic NHS Scans.
COVID 19: We ask that if you have tested positive, feel unwell, have been in contact with anyone that has been unwell or tested positive, or have returned from abroad in the last 2 weeks, that you cancel and do not attend your appointment. As Ultrasound Health Professionals, we desire to do everything we can to inhibit the spread of this virus. We ask therefore that you use the hand sanitiser provided and that all wear a mask at your appointment if deemed applicable at the time of your scan by governmental guidelines.
IMAGE AND DVD QUALITY/RESCANS:
The Baby Scan Company will do everything possible to obtain good quality 2D, 3D and 4D scanned images of your baby. However, nature will dictate how easy or difficult obtaining those images will be. There are several factors which affect the quality of images obtained scans. These include position of baby, reduced amniotic fluid, limbs obscuring the face, placenta position, position of umbilical cord, mother’s body fat and gestation greater than 33 weeks. As such, images can vary greatly within each pregnancy, and The Baby Scan Company will not warrant the replication of any previous scan images the client may wish to make comparison to. If we feel that image quality can be improved by scanning at a later date, one rescan appointment will be offered free of charge. We cannot be held responsible and cannot offer refunds for poor quality images which are beyond our control.
In the event a complimentary rescan is offered, full payment for the original appointment will be required before any rescan appointment is confirmed. In the event we are unable to obtain imaging at a rescan appointment, notwithstanding circumstances beyond our control, no refund will be made in relation to any unused scan time, the lack of images achieved or failure to confirm gender. If you choose not to elect for a complimentary rescan, or if in our professional opinion a rescan will not achieve that which is required, the cost of the appropriate souvenirs (DVD, USB Stick) as defined in the published price list will be refunded.
DVD MOVIE AND IMAGE USE:
The Baby Scan Company provide still images of 2D and 4D Scans, optional DVD movie recordings and electronic images on USB stick, for souvenir purposes. You have permission to use the souvenir material on the basis that you will not use it for medical reference or for any other purpose other than home use. The Baby Scan Company will not retain any record of the souvenir scan images
ABNORMALITIES:
Please note, the 19 – 22 week NHS Diagnostic Anomaly Scan is the only scan that provides an in-depth examination of Baby to check for abnormalities, and this is performed by your local NHS Hospital. Scans provided by The Baby Scan Company therefore do not include this diagnostic assessment. A basic baby well-being check identifying baby’s heartbeat and movements will be performed and, where stated in the scan description, assessment of baby’s growth may also be made. If however, during the course of your ultrasound scan, an abnormality is detected, this will be explained to you at the time of your examination. If you do not wish to be informed of any abnormality, please notify The Baby Scan Company prior to the start of your scan.
MISCELLANEOUS:
The price for the Scan will be the price as defined in The Baby Scan Company published price list, or as stipulated at the time of booking.
The Baby Scan Company are not bound to deliver a scan report or pictorial souvenir either in DVD or Memory-stick format or paper print until the cost of the scan is paid in full.
Scan bookings are allotted a specific time slot. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the Scan is carried out at the allocated time, appointment times cannot be guaranteed – babies are unpredictable.
If you are more than 15 minutes late we reserve the right to cancel the appointment.
Booking an appointment with The Baby Scan Company confirms that you have read the Scan Descriptor, understand the type of scan you are attending for including scan objectives as stated in the scan description itself.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
